Myself with the team Cheenola Productions (compiled of Juan Ortiz, Julissa Contreras, and David Zheng) we came together this winter and produced a parody of the hit show (that I love!), Scandal. We were already friends but the video that brought us together as a working unit was Shit Spanish Girls Say, which unexpectedly went viral in 2012. Since then we've created a few other gems including Por' Frie' Ri'e, and Self!e (Parody)

This time we went bigger - and filmed more than just in Juan's living room.... but at the official New York YouTube Space in Chelsea. The board room was the perfect look for the scene we were creating, and the experience was super chill (aside from our own stresses of getting this together) and we pretty much had the floor to ourselves. The huge space consists of editing rooms, full-blown sets, recording studios, and just a plethora of creativity and inspiration.

I directed the short, Julissa wrote the script, Juan edited the project. We had our hands all over this piece and did our best to turn Cessa (the loud, passionate chick from the Bronx character that Juan possesses) into a sassy, kinda hood Olivia Pope. She has her lengthy monologues, dramatic solutions and a scandalous lover, Franky (hinting at a Fitz persona). Check out the video and see for yourselves. We plan on shooting another episode to release at the time of Shonda Rhime's season finale of Scandal. Go YouTube!
